Artwork Guide

1. FILE FORMAT

For best results send files in PDF format. If you supply files that are RGB or unspecified spot/Pantone colours they will automatically be converted to CMYK, this can slightly change colours as they may appear different from what is seen on screen.

You will be prompted to upload your files/artwork, supplying your partner username or order ID which will be sent to you via email when you purchase online. This is a 24-hour service to ensure a fast turnaround.

2. COLOUR MODE

All artwork supplied must be based in CMYK unless a spot/Pantone colour is also specified. We are well equipped to run five-colour work if required. It is essential that black text is generated using only the black plate.

3. PRINTING RESOLUTIONS

Print materials such as business cards, brochures, flyers, etc require a minimum of 300dpi, so make sure your artwork has this resolution too. These images may have larger file size in some cases.

4. PAPER SIZES AND BLEEDS

When supplying files, please allow a 3mm bleed on all sides of artwork. When positioning text, please allow 3mm from the edge of the finished document to allow for cutting.

5. HEAD POSITION

For the fold to half jobs, artwork should be supplied as the front after folding as upside down from the folding and rest in normal design. Back page should supply as normal design from the folding area.

6. FONT OUTLINE

Please ensure all fonts used in your design file are converted to curves/paths/outlines prior to submission.

7. COLOUR REPRODUCTION

We will provide you with a colour proof copy on request, but this is not an exact colour match. We can provide a 'spot' colour service if required.

8. RESPONSIBILITY

We do not accept responsibility for any inaccuracies in the artwork. Whilst every effort will be made to inform you of any apparent errors, we will reproduce the artwork you provide without further proof-reading on our part.

9. COMMON INSTRUCTION

For better reproduction and quality we have implemented some changes in size. You can see the visuals and template with each folding and flat size.

All roll-fold covers should be the finished size. Jobs using paper 130gsm and below, the size will be reduced 1mm, and above 130gsm need to reduce by 2mm on each subsequent panel from cover.
